July 1st was a great summertime afternoon and had the best sultry blues on the central coast!
Lady Blue (Donna Greene) and her very “hot and prefessional”Roadhouse Daddies gave us a performance that will be an everlasting memory.
The Roadhouse Daddies, Greg Loeb, on guitar, John Douglas, on piano, Randy Tico, on bass, and Kevin Winard, on drums, are exceptional when it comes to playing the blues and jazz.
With great standards such as Good Morning Heartache made famous by Billy Holiday; and Is You Is or Is You Ain’t, My Baby, andKeep me Cool Papa, just to mention a few of the many tunes that were performed… We were satisfied with the blues for the hot summer afternoon.
We also had a wonderful bonus, with Peter Clark sitting in on the break. He played a lovely rendition of Summer Time, as well as Girl from Ipanema and How High the Moon.
Wow! It was a wonderful day to be had by the Jazz Society.
